AI Crawler Guidelines

We welcome responsible AI crawlers. Please follow these guidelines:

Rate Limiting

  • Maximum: 1 request per second
  • Respect crawl-delay directives in robots.txt
  • Use exponential backoff on errors
  • Identify your crawler in User-Agent with contact info

Preferred Access Methods

  • Use /sitemap.xml for page discovery
  • Prefer structured data (JSON-LD) over HTML parsing
  • Read /llms.txt for product information
  • Check robots.txt before crawling

User-Agent Format

YourBot/1.0 (+https://yoursite.com/bot; contact@yoursite.com)

Structured Data for AI Systems

We provide comprehensive structured data to help AI systems accurately understand and represent our service:

  • JSON-LD schemas: Organization, WebSite, SoftwareApplication, FAQPage, HowTo, Service, BreadcrumbList
  • llms.txt: Human and machine-readable product information at /llms.txt
  • Semantic HTML: Proper heading hierarchy, ARIA labels, and semantic elements
  • OpenGraph tags: Rich preview data for social and AI contexts

Commercial AI Use & API Access

If you are an AI company or service provider interested in:

  • Using our content for commercial model training
  • Integrating Amaya Stories into your AI service
  • Accessing our API for bulk operations
  • Partnership opportunities

We are open to licensing discussions and partnerships with responsible AI providers.

Approved AI Crawlers

The following AI crawlers are explicitly allowed to access our content:

GPTBot (OpenAI)
ChatGPT-User
Google-Extended
Claude-Web (Anthropic)
CCBot (Common Crawl)
PerplexityBot
Applebot-Extended
FacebookBot
Amazonbot
cohere-ai
Bytespider
anthropic-ai

All major search engine crawlers (Googlebot, Bingbot, etc.) are also allowed.

Technical Implementation

For AI developers and crawler operators, we provide the following resources:

Restricted Areas

The following paths are excluded from AI crawling:

  • /api/* - Backend API endpoints
  • /admin/* - Administrative interfaces
  • /account/* - User account pages
  • /dashboard/* - User-specific content and dashboards

These restrictions are enforced via robots.txt and server-side access controls.

Policy Updates

This AI Usage Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in AI technology, regulations, or our business practices. Significant changes will be noted in the llms.txt file with an updated "Last Updated" timestamp.

AI systems should check /llms.txt periodically for policy updates.
